SHORESTATION SS-V40120HY – 4,000 lb CAPACITY VERTICAL HYDRAULIC BOAT LIFT
The ShoreStation SS-V40120HY FlexPower® hydraulic lift offers a sleek, clean look with smooth, level-lift operation that provides an easy and fast way to dock and launch your boat. Powered by reliable DC power, the system delivers consistent performance for fast and effortless lifting, with optional AC power or the ability to maintain charge using your boat’s battery.
One of the key advantages of the FlexPower® hydraulic design is that the entire hydraulic system is positioned above the waterline and away from the dock. This improves accessibility, extends system life, and helps prevent corrosion, fluid leaks, and seal failures commonly seen in systems submerged underwater.
Redesigned in 2021, the SS-V40120HY model features a compact power unit with a bi-directional reversing hydraulic pump, along with a newly engineered channel-style lift tube featuring a removable coated top plate. This top plate improves maintenance access and also provides a stable surface to step on when boarding or exiting your watercraft.

HYDRAULIC CABLE LIFTING PRINCIPLES FOR MARINE ENVIRONMENTS
Hydraulic Boat Lift Priority One: Smart Design
ShoreStation, originally founded in the 1950s as Midwest Industries, brings decades of proven hydraulic design expertise to the marine environment.
Keeping moving components out of the water is critical. With the ShoreStation hydraulic system, the pump, cylinder, and hydraulic fittings remain above the waterline, unlike cantilever-style hydraulic lifts, where major components operate below the surface. Keeping components in a controlled environment increases reliability and reduces routine maintenance.
The illustration below identifies the hydraulic cylinder (#1), main lift cable (#2), and leveling cables (#3).
A key safety advantage of the FlexPower® system is the integrated pressure valve (#4), which prevents the lift from dropping your boat even in the event of a hydraulic hose failure. With all hydraulic hoses kept out of the water, seals and fittings experience longer service life and fewer failure points.
The lift utilizes large-diameter stainless steel cables and large sheaves with self-lubricating GARMAX® bushings, preventing cable-to-cable contact and reducing wear. The "V"-shaped cradle design improves centering, enables operation in shallow water, and keeps moving parts out of the water when raised to minimize corrosion.
BUILD YOUR HOIST PACKAGE
This lift can be configured for a wide range of hull types and waterfront conditions. Select from the available options above the “Add to Cart” button to build a setup tailored to your needs.
EXTENSION LEG OPTIONS
Freestanding lifts such as this model utilize four independently adjustable legs inserted into the corner columns of the hoist. When installed, they allow you to fine-tune the height at each corner to achieve a level plane across the hoist. Each leg includes a large foot pad for stability and locking pins for height adjustment, ensuring proper installation in a variety of water depths.
STANDARD 20" ADJUSTABLE LEGS – Includes standard legs offering 20" of adjustment for water depths up to approx. Best suited for water depths up to 4'.
40" ADJUSTABLE LEGS – Longer adjustable legs offering 40" of adjustment. Best suited for water depths up to 5.5'.
BOAT SUPPORT OPTIONS
The lift can be fitted with different support bunk systems depending on hull style:
STANDARD ULTRA BUNKS – Ideal for most single-hull designs. Aluminum extrusion bunks with non-abrasive vinyl covering.
TANDEM ULTRA BUNKS – Best for pontoons and cathedral hulls. Provides support under each toon.
PONTOON ULTRA BUNK & GLIDE RAIL KIT – Features integrated 16.5' guide rails for improved centering when parking pontoons and tritoons.
LOADING GUIDE OPTIONS
Recommended for windy conditions or less experienced operators, loading guides help keep your boat centered during entry and exit.
GLIDEPOLE CORNER POST GUIDES (92") – Provides visual and physical guidance during landing.
FRONT POST UPRIGHT GUIDES – Helps center the bow in rough water.
SPRING-LOADED CENTERING GUIDE – Flexes to guide the boat smoothly into position.
FOUR POST FOAM CENTERING GUIDE – Four soft upright posts provide traditional centering assistance.
MOTOR & BOW STOP OPTIONS
These aids help prevent overshooting the ideal parking position.
MOTOR STOP – Helps prevent the motor from overrunning the lift.
BOW STOP – Positions the bow correctly and consistently.
