Once mounted to the lower spreader beams of your hoist, each Smarte Jack can be raised or lowered using a cordless drill or a wrench with a 9/16" socket. This gives you a simple way to lift, roll, and fine-tune the height of your boat lift with less physical effort. With up to 20" of adjustment travel and a 700 lb lifting capacity per jack, the Smarte Jack is a practical solution for both waterfront property owners and professional dock installers.

For best long-term performance, we generally recommend removing the Smarte Jack assemblies from the lift after the hoist has been installed and properly positioned in the water. Although many owners leave the assemblies in place during the season, the system is intended to assist with installation, removal, and leveling rather than serve as a permanent load-support component while the lift is carrying a boat.
If you leave the system installed, verify that the wheels are not contacting the lake bottom after setup. Bottom contact can create unwanted stress on the lower frame tubes, axle assembly, wheel stops, and wheels. In areas with frequent wave action or changing water levels, we strongly recommend removing at least the wheels once the lift is in position to help reduce unnecessary wear over time.
Please Note: The Smarte Jack is not intended to support the load of a boat while the watercraft is parked on the hoist. The lift should be properly installed and supported by its standard framework before the boat is loaded onto the lift.
