ShelterTX Textured Vinyl

ShoreStation canopy covers are constructed from heavy-duty, 18 oz. ShelterTX textured vinyl-coated polyester fabric. A reinforced 22 oz. vinyl bungee pocket holds the continuous frame-attachment bungee. Each ShoreStation canopy cover comes pre-rigged for quick and easy installation using the SpoolSnap attachment system.

ShelterTX is a premium American-made fabric that builds upon the widely recognized Shelter-Rite material. This waterproof vinyl features a textured matte finish and is engineered to meet demanding performance standards. It is widely recognized throughout the industry as one of the best vinyl canopy materials available. The heavy-duty, 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester fabric has demonstrated superior performance in many key areas compared with other vinyl materials, including Shur-Tuff, Cover-Tuff, and Stamoid.

Tightly woven, heavy-duty polyester fibers provide excellent resistance to tearing, punctures, and abrasion. A high-performance vinyl formulation helps keep the material pliable and resistant to cracking, peeling, UV exposure, mold, and mildew. The 18 oz. fabric, combined with heat-welded seams, makes ShelterTX one of the most durable vinyl options available in the marine industry. Its textured matte finish provides a rich, fabric-like appearance with the unmatched durability of vinyl.

Frame Attachment

Genuine ShoreStation canopy covers come pre-rigged with a single continuous bungee sewn into the heavy-duty, 22 oz. vinyl bungee pocket located along the interior of the cover. The bungee is designed to attach to ShoreStation SpoolSnap spools, allowing for easy installation and removal. The large-radius connection points also help extend the life of the bungee. Once the canopy cover is positioned over the existing frame, simply loop the bungee over the circular spools installed on the frame to create a secure, snug fit.

This canopy cover is designed to fit standard OEM ShoreStation aluminum canopy frames equipped with the ShoreStation SpoolSnap system, with the spools installed in the appropriate locations. Please note that the canopy frame and SpoolSnap spools pictured below are not included with the cover. The canopy frame and spools are sold separately.

ShoreStation Canopy Frame Measuring Assistance

ShoreStation canopy covers are available in a variety of sizes, so it is important to determine which size your existing canopy frame requires. The image below illustrates how to measure your canopy frame to determine the correct cover size.

ShoreStation aluminum canopy frames have 4-inch round aluminum side tubes that extend from the front to the back of the frame. Brackets inserted into the ends of the side tubes secure the canopy bows and form the ends of the frame. The rounded canopy bows connect to the 4-inch side tubes to create the frame's rounded peak.

To determine the required canopy length, measure the length of one 4-inch round side tube and add two feet. The side-tube length plus two feet equals the required canopy-cover length.

• Length measurement: Length of the 4-inch round aluminum side tube plus 2 feet
• Width measurement: Inside width of the lower canopy rail, measured along the centerline from left to right

Important Note:  Canopy covers are custom and built to order, each is specfic to the frame make and size.  It is important that the correct make and size canopy cover is ordered. Canopies returned due to incorrect size or make ordering errors are subject to restocking fees and in some cases may not be returnable.  If replacing an existing cover, we strongly encourage measuring the frame and checking for a canopy tag for size information or contact the canopy frame manufacturer.  If you have any fit related questions after reviewing measuring instructions, please contact us.
