New for 2013 is our Marine Service and Product Locator, which allows any business in the marine industry to be noticed by potential customers all over the US, Canada and around the globe. This is an inexpensive way to reach customers that are searching for marine products and services. We get calls from people daily asking if we know of anyone in their area that can provide a given service or product for their dock, boat lift or lakefront. This was our reason for building our locator.

The locator has two parts; service provider locations and product location. Each is described here;

• The first part, the Service Locator allows a user that visits the page to simply input their zip code, choose the service of interest and click the submit button. Once this is done, the Google Map will display the results for the given search. Below the map is a listing of the service providers along with 100 words about their business, the services they offer and how to contact them.


• The second and best part is the Product Locator which is basically a dealer locator for chosen brands and products. This places a button on a product page right next to the buy now button that says "Find Locally". When the "Find Locally" button is selected, the user is directed to the Product Locator where it maps each dealer for that product. The user can then refine the search to their location by entering a zip code. All the dealers that qualify will be displayed the same way as the Service Locator. This second portion will go live in March.

Less than 3% of our customers make a purchase on our website. The mass majority of them are browsing and/or researching marine related products. This year our website will have 250,000 visits with over 1.3 million page views and 65% of these visits where first time or new visits. We are predicting a 30% to 35% increase in views for 2013.

This locator will be seen by a lot of people looking for marine products and/or services and they will be able to access this locator from any page on our website. This locator is what we, BoatLiftandDock.com will use to point any calls that come through our call center asking for local product or service. Some of you know that we have been using Google in the past to help our customers find local product and service.

WHAT IS DISPLAYED IN THE LISTING?

Each listing has a marker placed on a map using Google Maps. When a mouse passes over your marker, your company name is displayed and if the marker is clicked, your company name, address and phone number appear. Below the map each company that comes up in the search has a listing that contains the company name, address, phone, website, email, brief company description and a service description.
