The MH-V45108 by Craftlander is one of the most popular freestanding vertical boat lifts in their lift line. This aluminum, manual operation lift features a 4500lb lifting capacity with one of the easiest to operate winches on the market. Pictured above with optional loading guides.
Craftlander's MH-V45108 is well suited for most single hull watercraft's with a loaded weight between 3000lbs - 4400lbs. With a 108" inside opening it is suggested that this lift is used with boats that have a beam measurement less than 96".
The CraftLander aluminum boat lift is easier to crank than most lifts on the market today due to their patented "Positive Drive Winch" that is chain driven with roller bearings. The 4500 lb models have a 16:1 winch (16 turns or the wheel to 1 complete revolution of the drum) and raises about 1 inch every 2 turns of the wheel.

The 54" telescoping legs get you installed up to a 7 foot water depth. We can also provide longer legs and a bracing kit to get you in up to 10' of water.
The large tapered pads or feet on this unit allow it to be moved across many different surfaces and lake bottoms without snagging or digging in. This is very helpful for seasonal installation and removal.

BUNK HARDWARE
The MH-V45108 offers two options for bunk configurations, listed as "Standard Hull Bunks" and "Ski Hull Bunks". These two options refer to the hardware that supports the bunks on the lift. Standard Hull Bunks are for watercraft's that do not require additional clearance over the lift cradle. These bunks provide ample clearance for shallow V hulls, flat bottom, and round bottom boats. The Ski Hull Bunks are for those that require extra clearance over the cradle frame. These are commonly used with boats that have a deep V, or multi hull design. Ski Hull Bunks are also suggested for boat that have tracking skegs mounted on the at the bottom of the hull.

Question:What width lift should I choose for my boat?
-
Gary
(02/27/2013)
Response:We recommend trying to purchase a lift that is at least 12" wider on the inside than your boat. This give you at least 6" of play on each side of the boat when entering. If you purchase a lift that is a lot wider than your boat, the step out of the boat to the dock can be difficult. If you purchase a lift that is only a few inches wider than your boat, parking can be difficult for some boats and you will never be able to add guides. Sometimes the width of a slip or well may determine the width of lift you choose, in this case you will also want to find the outside width of the lift you are purchasing.
Question:Can the wheel be placed on either side of the lift?
-
Gary
(02/27/2013)
Response:The wheel and winch can only be installed on one side, the winch post side. The way the cables are run through the lift only allow the winch to be mounted on the one post.
If you need the wheel on a certain side of your dock, simply spin the lift around and adjust the bunks accordingly. There is no front or rear on the lift.
Question:How long will it take me to build a new boat lift?
-
Gary
(02/27/2013)
Response:As a first time builder it is a good idea to set aside 4-6 hours with the aid of a second person to construct this unit. We provide links to assembly videos for this lift on our YouTube page (a link can be found in the upper right hand corner of this page).
Question:What if my boat is heavier than the weight classification of the lift?
-
Gary
(02/27/2013)
Response:It is strongly recommended that you follow the weight ratings. Overloading the boat lift will void any manufactures warranty.
