Free Standing Lifts
This section offers Free Standing lifts of vertical, cantilever and drive-on designs. Most of these models do not need to be attached to any type of structure, but will need a solid or semi solid lake bottom to support the lift. Water depth can also determine whether a freestanding lift will work in a given area, so knowing the water depth is also important. Many of these lifts can be motorized with either AC or DC lift power units.

Freestanding boat lifts have grown in popularity over the past 50 years due to their flexibility and portability. Most freestanding lifts today are constructed from aluminum and are able to support a wide range of watercraft's. There are three common styles of freestanding lifts on the market today; Manual, Electric and Hydraulic.
Manual lifts are available in lifting capacities ranging from 750lb up to 6000lb. They are offered two lifting styles, Vertical and Cantilevering. Both styles are operated by a manual mechanical winch assembly that lifts and lowers a lift cradle with the use of cables and pulleys. Most manual units today give you the option to add a electric motor, eliminating the need of operating the winch by hand. Depending on model these units are able to operate in water depths ranging from 18 inches up to 10 feet. Manual lifts are the most economical option compared to electric and hydraulic units.
Electric freestanding lifts are very similar in design to manual lifts. They however, integrate the use of a electric motor that operates a mechanical winch. Like manual units they also use a series of cables and pulleys to raise and lower the cradle. Depending on model these units are able to operate in water depths ranging from 18 inches up to 10 feet.
